BvB Raleigh Stacked 1Team Events & Powderpuff Game to Benefit the Alzheimer’s Association East Coast Chapter

Following a successful second year of Alzheimer’s Association: Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh (BvB Raleigh), rivalries – blonde and brunette – will again hit the football field June 7, 2014 to help support the fight against Alzheimer’s. In 2013, BvB Raleigh raised over $50,000, exceeding the organization’s initial fundraising goal by more than $10,000.

In its third year in Raleigh, BvB Raleigh will be divided once again to reflect the age-old feud between blondes and brunettes – and compete in a flag football game. Cheerleaders, volunteers, corporate sponsors, media partners and more will also come together to help build awareness, raise funds and encourage participation for a disease that effects more than 18 million people around the world. 2014 season event details are as follows:

“We were extremely overwhelmed by the outpouring of support we received from those directly involved, in addition to family, friends, the community and beyond, who helped make the second year of Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh a huge success,” said Cristina Baker, Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh founder. “So many people are affected by this devastating disease and we are thrilled to be able to continue to raise awareness and funds, and above all, show our commitment to ending Alzheimer’s.”

Up from its second-year fundraising goal of $40,000, Blondes vs. Brunettes Raleigh is working hard to reach a goal of $60,000 in 2014. To help support the organization’s fundraising efforts and ensure every penny raised directly impacts the Alzheimer’s Association Eastern North Carolina Chapter, BvB Raleigh is seeking the help of sponsors.
